What you take forward
Reports and follow-up records that compare the reviewed samples and production evidence with the approved specifications and reference samples.
Agree the checkpoints before production begins
We define which stages need technical review, what the factory will share and who is responsible for approving decisions. The work is scoped around a stated garment, order, factory and period, with clear objectives for each checkpoint.
What the support can include
- Review of pre-production samples against the approved tech pack and references.
- A record of construction, measurement or product-detail deviations identified in the review.
- Consolidated correction requests and follow-up on the factory's responses.
- Review of samples, measurements and production evidence at the contracted milestones.
- Occasional factory visits with an agreed purpose and a written visit report.
- A closing record of the checkpoints completed and any open actions.
What we need to get started
Share the approved tech pack and reference samples, manufacturer and location, order quantities, production calendar and key contacts. We agree how information and samples will be provided, when feedback is needed and who can authorise changes.
How we work
- Review the production setup and agree the scope, checkpoints and communication process.
- Assess the pre-production sample and record the required technical corrections.
- Follow the contracted milestones remotely and carry out any agreed factory visits.
- Report findings, track responses and close the contracted period with a clear status record.
Practical details
Before we begin.
Deliverables, review rounds, schedule and fee are agreed in your proposal.
Is this remote support or an on-site service?
The service is remote with occasional factory visits. Each visit is agreed by location, objective, availability, time and travel costs before it is booked.
Does this include inspection of every garment?
The scope specifies the samples, evidence and checkpoints reviewed. Routine technical follow-up does not include checking every unit or a separate certified inspection service. Any additional inspection requirement needs to be discussed before quoting.
Who makes corrections and approves production decisions?
The manufacturer executes production and corrections. Flatfell records technical findings and follows up on the agreed actions. The client's approval responsibilities are defined at the start; any delegated authority must be expressly agreed.
How are production support and costs quoted?
The fee reflects the styles, factory, order, checkpoints and period of active support. Visits, travel and any extension are itemised. You contract and pay manufacturers, materials and production directly; Flatfell invoices its technical service.
