Sample Follow-Up & QC

Technical support through sample development.

Keep sample feedback clear and corrections traceable. Flatfell works with you and your atelier or sample maker to review the garment, document issues and follow up on the agreed changes through the contracted sample rounds.

What you take forward

A documented review of each contracted sample round, with consolidated comments, correction follow-up and a clear record of the decisions made.

01

Turn observations into actionable comments

A sample review connects what has been made with the intended design, measurements and construction. We establish how the sample will be assessed, which information the maker needs to provide and who approves the next step.

02

What the support can include

  • Review against the available tech pack, patterns and approved references.
  • Measurement and construction checks using the sample or evidence agreed for the review.
  • Fit observations where the review setup allows them to be assessed.
  • Consolidated comments and correction requests for the sample maker.
  • Follow-up on responses and revised samples within the contracted rounds.
  • A closing record of resolved points, open decisions and sample status at handover.
03

What we need to get started

Share the product files, current sample status, sample maker's contact details and target dates. We agree access to the physical garment or suitable evidence, fitting arrangements if needed, and the number of evaluations. The atelier makes the samples and carries out the physical corrections.

04

How we work

  1. Set the review criteria, sample access, responsibilities and calendar.
  2. Review each contracted sample and send one consolidated set of comments.
  3. Track the maker's responses and check the changes in the following agreed evaluation.
  4. Record the final sample status and any work still needed at handover.

Practical details

Before we begin.

Deliverables, review rounds, schedule and fee are agreed in your proposal.

Do you make the physical samples?

The samples are made by your atelier or sample maker. Flatfell provides the technical review and coordination described in the proposal.

Can you review samples remotely?

Yes, where the available photographs, measurements and other evidence support the required checks. Physical samples or fitting arrangements may be needed for some assessments; we agree these requirements at the start.

Are pattern or tech pack changes included?

They can be included in a combined proposal. The scope identifies the review work and the file updates required so the same task is not counted twice.

Does the service continue until the sample is approved?

The project defines a number of evaluations and a period of support. We work towards the final sample handover within that scope and record any unresolved points. If another sample or a design change is needed, the extra work is agreed before continuing.

How your enquiry information is handled

Your answers are used to assess your request, prepare a proposal and reply to you. Flatfell does not transmit your questionnaire answers through the direct-delivery service until you choose Send enquiry. Sending uses Google Apps Script and the professional Google Workspace mailbox. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

For enquiries that do not lead to a project, the normal deletion-review point is 12 months after the last substantive contact, subject to ongoing needs or applicable obligations. Privacy requests: luis@flatfell.com.
